Defendant, Adam Cukojevic, was charged with one count of armed robbery and one count of deviate sexual assault. (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1977, ch. 38, pars. 18-2 and 11-3.) After a jury trial, defendant was found guilty as charged. The court entered judgment on each verdict and sentenced defendant to eight years in the Illinois Department of Corrections. On appeal defendant contends that: (1) the State did not prove beyond a reasonable doubt defendant's guilt of armed robbery and deviate sexual assault; (2) the trial court erred in denying defendant's motion to suppress statements which he purportedly made while in police custody; and (3) comments made by the prosecutor and the trial court during closing argument were so prejudicial as to deny defendant his due process right to a fair trial.
